Barry H Cohen, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Specializing in the treatment of kidney disease and hypertension for over 40 years. He is board certified in Nephrology and a Fellow of American College of Physicians. He is presently Director of Dialysis Services at Capital Health Regional Center and Chairman of the Nephrology section at Capital Health.  In addition he is Medical Director at FMC Princeton Dialysis Unit.

Steven Craig Cohen, D.O.

Steven Cohen graduated from Hahneman University, where he completed his fellowship in 2001. During this time, he led his peers as Chief Nephrology fellow. Dr. Cohen received his medical degree at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine in 1996 and his residency in internal medicine at UMDNJ Hospital in Stratford, NJ in 1999. For the last 14 years, Dr. Steven Cohen has been helping patients with kidney disease at the Mercer Kidney Institute and has more recently become Medical Director of FMC Trenton Dialysis.

David Pai, M.D.

Dr. David Pai’s career in nephrology began at the Rutgers Medial School in Newark NJ. After graduating in 2001, he continued his education at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick where he completed his residency and nephrology fellowship in 2006. For the last 8 years, Dr. Paid has treated patients with the Mercer Kidney Institute team. In his free time, David enjoys golf and photography.

Dr. Iram Mahmood Arif is a doctor with world-wide experience. She began her studies in Pakistan where she earned a bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery at Fatima Jinnah Medical College. Dr. Arif came to the US and began her career at capital health where she was a resident for three years. In 2005, she became the chief resident at Internal Medicine at Capital health, which lead to her directorship in 2006. Dr. Arif has worked with the Mercer Kidney institute for the last 7 years helping patients improve their lives and their health.

AHpictureDr. Asher Hussain

After having resided in different parts of the state, Dr. Asher Hussain has settled in Mercer County as the newest addition to Mercer Kidney Institute. He grew up in northern New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick with a Bachelors in Cell Biology & Neuroscience. After medical school at Saba University, he completed his residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He went back to central Jersey to complete a Nephrology fellowship at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick.  He enjoys playing basketball and running.
